The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), Higher Education Commission (HEC), in collaboration with National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), organized a three-day training workshop for the Programme Evaluators of NCEAC.
Prof Dr Shahrin bin Sahib, director, Division of Academics Development Management, Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, was the resource person at the workshop.
The inaugural session of the workshop was chaired by Prof Dr Aftab Ahmed, NCEAC chairman. Fida Hussain, QAA Director General, delivered the welcome address. Welcoming the participants and guests, Prof Dr Aftab Ahmad briefly described the role of NCEAC and the purpose of the workshop.
Prof Dr Shahrin bin Sahib gave his brief introduction and shared his valuable practical insights about the importance of accreditation and its implementation back in Malaysia
In the end Prof Dr Riaz Hussain Qureshi, advisor (HRD-HEC), who was invited as the chief guest to the event, addressed the participants and appreciated the working of NCEAC.
The key objective of the workshop was to improve the relevant skills of programme evaluators to perform the accreditation based on prescribed standards, criteria and procedures.
