Sindh Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Makhdoom Jamil-uz-Zaman on Saturday said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was fully committed to strengthen the democratic norms in the country. That is the reason that the party leadership has accepted the decision of the Supreme Court and got the new prime minister elected with the support of allied parties, he added.
The minister was talking to media persons after attending a certificate distribution ceremony at Dr NA Baloch Institute of Heritage and Research, Latifabad.
The minister said the PPP was determined to maintain the supremacy of constitution, which clearly defined the constitutional rights of all institutions. It is the need that all institutions should discharge their responsibilities within the constitutional frame, he added.
He said no political party had given respect to workers except the PPP. It is only the PPP leadership which encouraged the party workers and awarded them party tickets, he added.
Responding to a question about Zulfikarabad, the minister said the government had taken final decision on the issue with the consultation of the people of the province. The minister said the provincial government had allocated a huge amount in the annual budget for research on cultural heritage and efforts were underway to carry out maximum research in that direction.
