Punjab Assembly speaker has suspended the membership of PML-Q MPA Seemal Kamran and Sheikh Alauddin.
A ruckus was created when female MPAs protested against the remarks made by Unification bloc leader Sheikh Alauddin against women MPAs during Wednesday’s session of Punjab Assembly.
During the confrontation, PML-Q member Seemal Kamran hurled shoe at Sheikh Alauddin and exchanged hot words after which the session was adjourned.
The speaker formed a committee over the matter which suspended the membership of both the leaders on Thursday.
During Thursday’s proceeding, Seemal Kamran was barred from entering the session on which she staged a sit-in outside the assembly.
Seemal Kamran lamented that women were being abused for the last four years and the chief minister and speaker were seemed helpless to take any action.
On the other hand, a ruckus started inside the provincial assembly as members of the opposition raised their voices against the restrictions over Seemal Kamran’s entry.
During assembly session on Thursday, legislators used hands and fists against each other. The Speaker tried to bring the situation under control, but no one paid heed to the orders.
