Sindh Secretary for Culture Abdul Aziz Uqaili and the Director General Culture Rafique Ahmed Buriro have expressed their deep grief and shock on the sad demise of music maestro Mehdi Hassan. In a condolence message, they said that Mehdi Hassan was the maestro of music in Pakistan particularly in singing Ghazal and his sad demise has created a great vacuum in the field of art in the country. During his illness, they said that Sindh Culture Department has made all out efforts to facilitate him at maximum scale.
They expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. The artists of Hyderabad went in great shock after hearing the news about of sad demise of King of Ghazal Mehdi Hassan.

After Noor Jahan, the demise of Mehdi Hassan, has deprived the country of masters of the art in singing. They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
Two dead in Kandhkot restaurant gunfire
attack: Two persons were killed and another man was injured when some unidentified miscreants opened indiscriminate fire on a restaurant near the bypass early Friday morning. The gunmen riding motorcycles ambushed a restaurant located near Kandhkot Bypass, killing Akbar Sabzoi and Jamal Sabzoi on the spot and injuring another. The incident triggered stampede at the café. SHO E-Section Gul Muhammad Mehr arrived on the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to Civil Hospital. The bodies were handed to the bereaved families after post mortem. According to police sources, the attack was a ramification of old enmity. Later, members of the bereaved family, placing the bodies on Bypass Road, protested against the incident and blocked the road by setting tires on fire. .
KU to re-initiate manual
tabulation with computerized one: The University of Karachi will re-initiate manual tabulation along with the computerised one. This was announced by the spokesperson of the University on Friday. As per directive of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser, the Examination Department has been asked to restart manual tabulation along with the computerized tabulation of the results. The measure has been taken to ensure transparency. Any illegal change in mark sheet would not be possible after manual tabulation, the spokesperson added.
