Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has asserted that he declined an offer by real estate tycoon Malik Riaz to contest his case against the contempt of court charges. During an informal conversation with reporters at the Supreme Court, Aitzaz said Riaz requested him to become his lawyer, but he refused. Referring to media reports regarding the reference against the CJ, Aitzaz rejected all such reports, adding that no reference was being filed against the chief justice over bribery charges against his son.
