Leading Sikh organisations have urged British Prime Minister David Cameron to take stock of the overall, what they called “very grim and concerning situation” in Punjab, especially in context of basic human rights of the Sikh community. On behalf of these organisations, Amrik Singh Sahota, OBE, president of the Council of Khalistan, presented a memorandum at 10-Downing Street to Prime Minister Cameron on Thursday.
As a permanent member of the UN Security Council and close friend of the New Delhi government, the memorandum demands the UK to help bring India in line with basic international legal requirements. The 28th anniversary of the notorious June 1984 Indian army attack on the Golden Temple in Amritsar prompted the delivery of the memorandum, which was endorsed by leading Sikh nationalist organisations based in the UK and in Punjab. The document points to the current impasse in the Indo-Sikh conflict, which remains unresolved following India’s use of illegal force to suppress the Sikhs demand for a sovereign independent state.

  1. Khalistan ab door door tak koi mudda nahin rah gaya hai.

Aur, jahan tak Sikhon ke discrimination ka sawal hai toh ye bahut bewkufi bhari baat hai.

Bharat ke sabse adhik per capita income wale rajyon me se Punjab hai. Agriculture sector me toh ye baaki states se kahin aage hai. Kahna nahin hoga ki is waqt planning commission ke president (jo ki is desh ka pradhanmantri hota hai), vice-president(Montek Singh Ahluwaliya) aur bharat ke vartmaan army chief Sikh hi hain.
