Two robbers killed in police encounter

Two robbers were killed during an exchange of fire with the police late Wednesday night.
According to details, the police signaled the two riders of a motorcycle they suspected to stop in the Ghalib Market area.
However, the motorcyclists, instead of stopping, sped away, forcing the police to give chase to the vehicle to the Guru Mangatt Road.
The police tried to arrest the culprits but they started firing. During the retaliatory fire, the two suspects stated to be robbers, were killed.
The police took the motorcycle into their custody and shifted the bodies for postmortem.
The police said the robbers killed in the fire exchange were wanted for their involvement in several incidents of robberies and other crimes.
