KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed Wednesday expressed his dissatisfaction over the low-standard construction of swimming pool at Landhi Sports Complex.
He made these observations while paying a detailed visit of ongoing development works in district East Karachi to complete the renovation of Landhi Sports Complex.
He was visiting these projects with Senior Director Sports, Culture and Recreation Muhammad Rehan Khan and other high officials.
During the visit to Landhi Sports Complex, Administrator Karachi summoned the XEN concerned and contractor. He also directed to stop the payment of the contractor because of poor standard of construction.
He also directed to install a filter plant for changing of swimming pool’s water and its cleaning. Administrator Karachi expressed hope that after the completion of construction works of Landhi Sports Complex the residents of Landhi, Korangi and Malir would get the facilities of all indoor games.

Hopefully this pool now has been correctly constructed with adequate pool pumps/filteration, and no leakages! i had a pool constructed in Lahore by an alleged architect/civil engineer when completed and we filled with water the whole structure leaked and cost me lacs to repair the damages caused by an incompetent unprofessional architect/civil engineer who has since ran off to Afganistan as he cannot find work in Pakistan! not surprised as he was totally negligent and unprofessional. When constructing a swimming pool and investing huge money my advise is to get professional pool builders to design/construct pool and get adequate filteration/pumps/pool equipment fitted /plumbed by professionals otherwise it's money down the drain.Since then i have found a great company in Lahore giving honest , professional pool advise and pool equipment they provide services all over Pakistan, company name is Olympic pool.
