Despite financial hurdles, the Punjab government is seemingly standing by masses’ demand by not imposing further taxes in its upcoming budget.
The Punjab government is set to present fiscal budget of 2012-13 in the Punjab Assembly (PA) on June 9, Saturday.
Sources said that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz-led provincial government has taken the decision in to evade further wrath of masses at times when they are already bearing brunts of load-shedding across the Punjab.
The total amount in the budget has been increased to Rs 7oo billion against the last year’s total outlay of Rs 654.75 billion, with no new taxes this time round.
