Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab President and State Interior Minister Imtiaz Safdar Warraich said the behaviour of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz during the budget speech was undemocratic as well as unethical. Addressing a press conference on Monday at the Lahore Press Club, he termed the PML-N decision to hold local body election on a non-party basis as a ‘conspiracy’ to suppress the voice of the masses. Warraich said the ruckus created by the PML-N during the budget speech in the NA was an attempt to derail the democratic process in the country. However, he said the PPP had always supported democracy and such bad practices will not be demonstrated during the budget session in the Punjab Assembly.
