Sir Anthony Hopkins is in talks to tackle the role of Alfred Hitchcock in a new biopic about the legendary moviemaker, according to a U.S. report.
The Oscar-winning actor is said to have been approached to play the Master of Suspense in a movie based on Stephen Rebello’s book ‘Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho’, which tells the story of the director’s struggle to finance his 1960 horror classic.
Screenwriter/ director Sacha Gervasi is in talks to step behind the camera to direct the story, while ‘Black Swan’ writer John McLaughlin has taken charge of the script. Hopkins was previously linked to a shelved Hitchcock project back in 2007.
