Pakistan and Iran enjoy close bilateral ties, a common culture and cooperation in various sectors. Foreign propaganda cannot affect the relations between the two countries.
This was stated by Iranian province, Fars Governor Hossein Sadegh Abideen while talking to the media at the Lahore airport on Thursday.
He said foreign powers could not see the Muslim countries prospering and developing and were therefore hatching conspiracies to weaken the Ummah and create differences among them.
“We will not allow the foreign powers to succeed in their nefarious designs,” he said.
Sadegh said the people of Pakistan and Iran have deep love and respect for each other and that the US propaganda cannot affect the Pak-Iran fraternity. The Fars governor termed his visit to Pakistan as successful. He said investment in the industrial and agricultural sectors will bring fruitful results for both the countries.
He hoped that Pak-Iran ties will be strengthened in the days to come.
Punjab signs MoUs with Fars to steer trade
Punjab Government and the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoUs) Thursday for formalising collaborative efforts to identify areas of common interests with the Iranian province of Fars and Trade Union of Shiraz Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Mines respectively. The MoU signing was in connection with the Iran fair, being organised by the PBIT in Lahore from May 31 to June 2. Speaking on this occasion, Governor Fars Hossein Sadegh Abideen said that Iranian businessmen held useful talks with their business counterparts in Punjab. Punjab, he said, could benefit from Iranian expertise in slaughter houses, dairy and juice industry, while Iran could benefit from Pakistan’s textile infrastructure. PBIT Vice Chairman Dr Miftah Ismail said the two economies could perfectly complement each other.
