Interior Minister Rehman Malik has reiterated that he does not have British citizenship. Addressing a ceremony of the UK Pakistan Chamber of Commerce in London, Malik said even though he was not a British national, he would take all possible steps for Pakistanis settled overseas, adding that a special cell would be formed for them. He said there was a discrepancy in the law regarding dual citizenship and he would move court against it. Talking about the country’s situation, the interior minister said security and investment went hand in hand and “we are doing everything to provide investors a secure environment”. Malik said the role of the overseas Pakistanis in development of Pakistan could not be negated. He said Taliban were being provided weapons by anti-state elements. “We have broken the backbone of terrorists and now only a handful remains… we are continuing action against them.”

  1. Malik yar dont be like that-all you Paki politicians have dual nationalities for when the going gets tough ,the toughs will be heading to UK USA Dubai with several pots of gold=right mate-you naughty little man!!!!

  2. Rehman Malik is doing a great job keeping law and order. His efforts are keeping peace in all the provinces. Army and the right wing media is making up stories to make PPP look bad. Pakistan is not the worst country to live. Zardari thru his vision and policies is taking all the parties along. Rehman Malik's nationality does not matter because he is doing good for the country.

  3. Just so you know. The average Brit does not trust Pakistan or Islam. They see both as able to lie without blushing and also as treacherous.
This is true also of Australia (my adopted country) and as far as I can judge all other western democracies.
Personaly I have some islamic and Pakistani friends who I trust but they are few.
I have no solution to the problem. As you are percieved so will you be judged.
