The Punjab Highway Patrol arrested six accused and recovered a van, gold ornaments, four mobile phones and timber worth Rs 220,000.
The arrested were identified as Saifullah, Boota, Amjad, Sajjad, Abdul Rehman and Maqsood. The PHP officials handed over the accused to the local police for interrogation.
Action taken against quacks: On the directions of DCO Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, action has been taken against quacks.
Monitoring teams raided 29 shops operated by quacks in different areas and sealed four shops. Six FIRs were also registered against the quacks and two of them were arrested.
Four medical stores sealed: On directions of the DCO, drug inspectors sealed four medical stores for selling expired medicines on Saturday. The drug inspectors checked 36 medical stores, out of which four stores were sealed. They collected 15 samples of medicines and sent them to laboratories for testing.
