The PCB Board of Governors members called upon Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Ch. Zaka Ashraf here at PCB Headquarters on Friday. The BOG Members discussed various cricketing related issues with the Chairman. The members also discussed the central contract of the players and the plans of reviving international cricket in Pakistan. The upcoming series against Sri Lanka and Australia and his (the chairma’s) visit to India also came into discussion.
PSF plans incentives for winner squash team
Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, President Pakistan Squash Federation, awarded cash prizes to Pakistan squash team on winning the Asian Senior Squash (Team) Championship, held at Kuwait in the 1st week of May, 2012. Pakistan Squash contingent comprising Mr Farhan Mehboob, Nasir Iqbal, Farhan Zaman and Sheikh Saqib Yousaf accompanied by Mr Jamshed Gul and Sher Ali Kakar as coach and manager, participated in the 16th Asian Senior Squash (Team) Championship, 2012. Pakistan team defeated China and Sri Lanka in the initial round, Hong Kong in the quarter finals and Malaysia in the semi finals. On 05 May, 2012 the Championship final was played between Pakistan and India. Both of our players (Mr Farhan Mehboob and Farhan Zaman) played very well by defeating high ranking Indian players. Finally, Pakistan team retained the Asian Championship title by beating India with a straight game score of 2-0. The President, Pakistan Squash Federation, highly appreciated the performance of our players in the Asian Championship and expected that they would continue putting in more efforts for bringing laurels for the country in the future, as well.
Teacher’s professional, personal and moral development as important as it is for the students. IT is necessary for them to have positive values so that they can impart to the students. They should be role model for the students to build their character.
