Unidentified men blew up the vehicle of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-S (JUI-S) provincial chief Yousaf Shah on Tuesday.
According to details, the unidentified miscreants had planted a time bomb in the car. However, the car developed some fault and was taken to a local workshop where the bomb was found.
Local police and bomb disposal squad were called in but the bomb went off before it could be defused. The vehicle was completely destroyed. No loss of life was reported.
Talking to reporters after the incident, Shah said elements who had killed Gul Naseeb, a teacher of Darul Uloom Haqqania were involved in the incident.
Meanwhile, the police registered a case and started investigations.
