Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Secretary General Abdul Ghafoor Haidari has said the Frontier Corps Balochistan has “virtually established its parallel government in Balochistan”. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, the JUI-F leader said the FC was in fact ruling Balochistan and there was no writ of the government. He said if JUI’s quitting the government could bring an improvement, it could consider the option. He said no serious step had been taken for the solution of problems of Balochistan and mere apologies from people of the province did not work. Haideri regretted that no effort was being made to stop deaths of the missing youth and incidents of kidnapping for ransom. He said if timely steps were not taken for the solution of the problems, “we will be left with nothing but regrets”. To a question, he said political governments were not allowed to become stable because the main power rested with those forces which had been destabilising the institutions.
