PIA flight escapes disaster at Lahore airport

An oxygen cylinder booked in luggage of a Karachi-bound flight exploded just before loading in Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Thursday.
According to details, an oxygen gas cylinder booked in luggage of the PIA flight 307 from Lahore to Karachi exploded on the conveyor belt. The gas cylinder fell 500 feet away after the explosion.
Panic spread at the airport after the explosion. Aviation experts were of the view that the explosion may have caused severe damage if it had exploded inside the plane.

  1. no aerosol allowed in luggage then how the hell this even was getting in to the plane? how they even scan the cylinder ? if its oxygen or something else? air security is in shambles in Pakistan. This is just avoided by Allah otherwise no checks on planes or the luggage are being done properly.

  3. In Pakistan people have little regard for any thing that may risk human life. This thinking prevails everywhere in our society, not only in PIA.
