Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab General Secretary Haji Aziz-ur-Rahman Chan has said the masses will be given relief in the next budget and that no conspiracy against the democracy will be allowed to succeed. Talking to the media on Wednesday, he said the democratic government was following the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for creating a peaceful society and that the PPP’s democratic government must be credited for restoring the constitution in its real form. Chan stated that the government would complete its constitutional tenure and the election would be held on time. “All the poor women are being provided equal opportunities for economical development through the Benazir Income Support Programme and many steps are being taken by the government for the welfare of labourers,” he added.
