At a time when other actresses are making comebacks, Raveena Tandon is planning her sabbatical. “I want to help my daughter Rasha, with her homework and accompany my son Ranbir Vardhan, to his swimming classes,” she smiles and says. So is her tryst with tinsel town over? “Not really. I have completed two films, but will now be choosy about my roles,” she says. The actress admits that things are different in the industry now. “Bollywood is engrossed in the world of social networking sites. It was not the same when I joined. People go back to their vanity vans immediately after a shot is over. Earlier, the unit used to be like a family. There were no vanity vans where we could shut ourselves. The moment it is pack-up time, people just switch off from work these days,” she says. But the “self absorbed Bollywood”, as she terms it, cannot be the only reason for her time-off. “I want to spend time with my children. According to the teachers, my kids are among the best in class,” she gushes. Though she admits little Rasha is the naughtier one, she adds, “They are at their best behaviour when they’re out.” We wonder if the cheez badi hai mast girl will want her daughter to step into her mum’s shoes once she’s older. “I cannot predict the future of my kids. If they wish to venture into films, who am I to stop them? But I will surely keep a check on them when it comes to differentiating between right and wrong. They should never lose their dignity in life,” she shares.
