The Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Patient Welfare Society arranged a dengue awareness event at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Social Welfare Punjab Director General Malik Muhammad Aslam, said, “All-out efforts are being made to create awareness among the general public about dengue and cleanliness.”
District Social Welfare Officer Tanvir Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf Janjua, Muhammad Galib, Saima Iqbal and Madiha Naseem conducted the event.
Seminar on effects of dengue tomorrow:
The Gynecology Department of Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) is organising a seminar titled ‘How Dengue Affects Mother and Child Health during Pregnancy; at Lahore General Hospital tomorrow (Thursday). The seminar will be attended by doctors and officials concerned from all the government hospitals of the city. Prof. Tariq Salahud Din, Principal PGMI and LGH, will preside over the seminar while Allama Iqbal Medical College Principal Prof. Javed Akram and other senior doctors will deliver special lectures.
