Gulzeb’s label goes global

Gulzeb, a young Pakistani couturier based in Dubai and Karachi who launched herself in Dubai Fashion Week 2011, has decided to start multi-brand store in Dubai, Pakistan Today learnt. Gulzeb launched herself in Dubai Fashion Week in 2011 an event was incredibly successful and acted as an ideal platform that helped to introduce her label in the fashion world. Talking to Pakistan Today, Gulzeb, an ambitious lady, said her love for Pakistan is certainly undeniable as her work also includes Pakistani traditional and bridal pieces. “Although, I am known as a designer in industry, but my pieces may show creativity and maturity, which usually comes with years of experience,” she said, adding that her collections intertwines both eastern and western elements that allow for variety of styles. “I am able to maintain a traditional look whilst still catering to popular modern involving spectrum of colours,” she said, adding that her collection is ideal for women in search of classy -yet-chic look as well as for women who prefer a more covered and cultured style. “My designs are more suited to empower women giving them confidence in their appearance for both formal and celebratory occasions,” she added. Talking about quality of her designed clothes, she said the fabrics used include silk, chiffon, shamooz and jamawars. “At present I am stocking at Gulzeb couture which is located in Khyban-e- Bukhari in Clifton which has a huge collection of summer prêt and these clothes will be available in Dubai very soon as well,” she said. Gulzeb has participated in the Panteen Bridal Couture Week and decided to be part of the next Pakistan fashion week.
