2 Hazara Shia brothers gunned down in Quetta

Two brothers belonging to the Hazara Shia community were killed while a passer by received bullet injuries here on Tuesday. According to police, the two brothers, identified as Muhammad Tahir and Muhammad Qadir reached work in front of the passport office at Joint Road, when armed motorcyclists opened indiscriminate fire at them and escaped from the scene. As a result of the shooting, the two brothers and a passer received bullet wounds. Both brothers succumbed to their injuries while being shifted to a hospital. When contacted, Shafqat Junjua police station house officer (SHO) confirmed that both victims belonged to the Hazara tribe, and the double murder appeared to be a case of sectarian violence.

  1. What a shameful act of killing innocent Muslims simply because they follow Shia Islam. The killers "terrorists" have been doing it in the name of Islam. According to the holy Quran, the killing of an innocent person is like killing the whole humanity. What an impression such incidents leave on Non Muslims in the western world who are told day and night that Islam is a religion of peace.
