An application was moved before the Lahore High Court on Saturday seeking its directive for restraining Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to act in his capacity as chief executive of the country and passing of annual fiscal budget after a decision of the Supreme Court.
The plea was moved by Advocate Shumail Raja saying that the prime minister and his cabinet stood disqualified on April 26, therefore, the presentation of fiscal budget would be illegal and unconstitutional.
The applicant also contended that a convicted person could neither pass a budget nor depart on foreign visits.
The court was asked to reclaim from Gilani and other officials the expenditures incurred upon their foreign visits after the apex Court decision.
Yes, it is good to file a petition in Lahore HighCourt becoz judges of this court are waiting for obliging Sharif brothers. Petitioner might have had a private meeting with LHC judges before filing his petition.
