PLF to stage president, PM solidarity rally

People’s Lawyers Forum Punjab on Thursday announced to hold a rally on May 13 to express solidarity with the president and the prime minister.
The announcement was made during a lawyers convention held by PLF Punjab to express solidarity with prime minister at Karachi Shuhada hall of Lahore High Court Bar Association.
PLF Punjab President Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa addressing the convention said that prime minister followed the constitution and he was punished for it. He announced that PLF would continue to support the prime minister.
He said that justice be made in Zulfikar Ali Bhutto reference and demanded that it should be heard on daily basis.
He criticised used of poetry in the Supreme Court’s verdict in PM contempt case and said that it was an attempt to malign the constitution.
PPP Leader Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas held the PCO judges responsible for problems of the country and said that decisions should also be taken against them.
He said that the Supreme Court should take action against Justice (r) Nasim Hasan Shah through suo motu.
Secretary General PLF Punjab Iftikhar Shahid said that judges who took oath under PCO twice should seek apology from nation.
Syed Zahid Hussain Bukhari said that incomplete election commission did not have authority to issue PM’s disqualification notification. He also termed the memo scandal a conspiracy.
