7 children killed in Shakargarh school roof collapse

At least 7 children were killed and over a dozen injured when a roof of a private school collapsed in Shakar Garh tehsil of Narowal district in Punjab on Monday.
According Rescue 1122, the incident took place in the infamous Polo Street that killed at least seven students and injured over a dozen. They said as many as 40 students were present in the class when the roof collapsed.
An emergency has been declared in all schools of the district while rescue efforts were underway to recover the trapped children. The Punjab chief minister has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
