Radio Pakistan will organise a special musical concert at Noor Jahana Auditorium of Radio Pakistan to pay rich tributes to the legendary singer “Malika-e-Kaafi” late Zahida Parveen here on Monday.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Radio Pakistan Director General Murtaza Solangi and renowned classical singer Ustad Fateh Ali Khan will be the chief guests at “In Memory of Zahida Parveen,” while renowned musician Ustad Ghulam Hassan Shaggan will preside over the concert.
Compered by famous actor Shujaat Hashmi, renowned singers Ustad Hamid Ali Khan, Hussain Bakhsh Gulloo, Sanam Marvi, Sara Raza, Ali Abbas, Ejaz Qaisar, Sakhawat Hussain Khan, Ejaz Tawakkal, Raashid Haideri, and Mohammad Ashraf will perform at the special musical concert. Renowned musicians and intellectuals Wazir Afzal, Ustad Ghulam Haider, Ustad Badar-ur-Zaman, Ali Tanha, Khalid Sherazi, and Dr Mehfooz Khokhar will throw light on various aspects of the life and services of Zahida Parveen.
The programmes will be broadcast live by all FM-93 and medium wave, and FM-101 Peshawar, Quetta, and Sialkot channels of Radio Pakistan at 8:05 pm immediately after the news bulletin. The musical concert can also been listened to and viewed all over the world through live audio and video-streaming on Radio Pakistan website www.radio.gov.pk.
