Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer directed the district emergency officers to celebrate the International Firefighters’ Day on May 4.
The objective of the day is to pay homage to firefighters and to educate people about fire safety.
Dr Naseer said rescue and firefighting was a noble profession and rescuers were known as the heroes of the society. He paid tribute to all the rescuers and firefighters who had sacrificed their lives in line of their duties.
