PPP, PML-Q mull bringing 21st amendment for new provinces

The Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid are contemplating bringing 21st amendment in the constitution aimed at changing the method of carving out new provinces. According to sources, both parties who are anxious to create the Seraiki province before the general elections and are considering bringing 21st amendment in the constitution aimed at altering the existing procedure for creating new provinces. Sources said the two coalition partners shared this plan regarding the 21st amendment among themselves, adding that the ruling party would also consult other allies soon.
