The city police on Saturday arrested 20 outlaws and recovered 14 bottles of liquor, pistols, guns and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
On a tip off, Ramna police arrested Nadeem Yousuf from Sector G-11/12 and recovered 10 bottles of liquor from his possession. Bhara Kahu police arrested Raja Ashfaq from Kalma Chowk for possessing a 30-bore pistol and five rounds. Likewise, Bhara Kahu police also arrested three other persons identified as Biall Hussain, Khizer Abbas and Sabir Hussain Shah and recovered a 30-bore pistol, one mauser and 10 cartridges from their possession.
Crime Investigation Agency of Islamabad police arrested two thieves Iftikhar and Asif and recovered stolen items from their possession.
Separately, a Shalimar police team, headed by SHO Abdur Rasheed Niazi and Sub Inspector Rasheed Ahmed raided Travas Guest House at Sumbal Road in Sector F-10/3 after getting search warrant and nabbed eight drunkards. The police also recovered three wine bottles during the raid. The same police team arrested five other persons, including two women, for their alleged involvement in immoral activities during a raid at Blue Line hotel in F-10 Markaz. One bottle of liquor was also recovered during this raid.
