A woman was murdered allegedly by her husband in the Mauripur area on Saturday. Mauripur police said the mother of three, identified as Nahid Bibi, wife of Shah Hussain, was strangled by her husband at their residence located near Hanfia Masjid in Mauripur. The alleged murderer, Hussain, son of Akbar Hussain, was stated to be on the run. The body of the deceased was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). No case was registered until the filing of this report, as the police were waiting for the post-mortem report.
