Two policemen, including a Station House Officer (SHO), were injured when a remote-controlled bomb hit their patrolling mobile here on Friday.
According to sources, unknown militants targeted the police mobile when it was on routine patrol in Nawanklai area of Mardan. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast.
SHO Khan Khel and his driver were seriously injured. They were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital.
Later, heavy contingent of police reached the scene and started search operation.
