Islamabad Police have arrested five outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 568 wine bottles, one kilogram heroin, pistol and 500 rounds from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
On a tip off, Inspector Haider Ali from Shehzad Town police started special checking at `Malot Kuri road’ and stopped a truck (MD-RA-056). During checking of this truck, police recovered 556 wine bottles from it and arrested Naseem Khan resident of Plundri district Sadhnoti. Meanwhile, SHO Sheikh Naeem Uddin of Golra police station along with police team arrested Wajid s/o Hazrat resident of Peshawar in possession of one kilogram heroin. Another accused Manzoor Satti was arrested for having one pistol and 500 rounds.
Bhara Kahu police arrested a person Gulshad for having two wine bottles while Sub-Inspector Abdul Razaq from Raman police arrested Shahid Inayat for possessing ten wine bottles.
SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for maintaining high vigilance in the city.
