While earning a supermodel tag it is an achievement for most catwalk beauties, Veena Malik believes that the supermodel status given to her is not exaggerated and already considers herself to be a supermodel. Controversial actress Veena Malik has grab her entry in Navin Batra’s new film ‘Supermodel’ in which she will be essaying the role of a glamorous supermodel. The character is said to be based on the Naomi Campbell, a British model who garnered international acclaim for her work. Sources close to the film say, Veena Malik is compared to Campbell, as both have established reputations as the most recognisable and in-demand faces of the fashion world. Like Campbell, Veena’s life as a celebrity has also gone through many phases and controversies. “Professionally she is a successful model and actress and is an apt choice for the film,” says director Navin Batra. “Her body language, style and poise are that of a supermodel, as has been stated many times by the media. This makes her the right choice,” Batra added. For the film ‘Supermodel’, Malik will be paired opposite Indian actor and rumoured ex-flame Ashmit Patel. The 25-year-old insisted that the film should showcase the sizzling chemistry between her and Patel.
We watched a documentary about Veena Malik for our sydney modelling agency and I can agree that she really is pretty. I think Indians do have that natural beauty. For being a supermodel though, I would like to disagree, I think someone else can pull it off.
