Residents of Chattha Bakhtawar have expressed grave concern over lack of a government primary school in the area.
The population of this vicinity runs into thousands but it stands deprived of basic education facilities as no primary school has been built in public sector.
“We are low-paid government employees and are working as naib qasids or guards in government departments. Our children have not been provided even facility of primary education due to non-functioning of any primary school in the area,” said a group of employees.
Private schools are mushrooming in this area but their fee is high and even standard of education is also not good. We can not afford higher fees, they added.
“We have to send our daughters to remote areas for primary education. We continue to offer prayers for their safe arrival in school and back to home,” said a group of housewives.
The residents demanded that measures be taken for establishment of primary school in the area.
