Rafique supervises relief activities after plane crash

Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited PIMS Islamabad from 1 am to 4 am on Friday night and supervised the relief and rescue activities started by Rawalpindi administration after the unfortunate Bhoja plane crash in Hussainabad near Koral. He also expressed his sympathies to the relatives of the deceased persons of the air crash incident. District Officer (DO) Health Rawalpindi Dr Khalid Randhawa accompanied him on this occasion. He said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif he reached here from Lahore to supervise the relief activities being extended by the Punjab Government. He said that 127 coffins (body boxes) had been provided by the administration for the burial of the deceased persons. He said that Rescue 1122, Health department, ambulances along with technical machinery were sent to the spot immediately after the air crash to take part in relief activities. Ambulances took the dead bodies of the deceased persons to the PIMS. He further said that the Chief Minister Punjab was feeling grief on this sad incident. Later, Khawaja Salman Rafique visited the spot of air crash at 6:30 AM.
