UAE seeks services of Pakistan’s medical experts

The United Arab Emirates’ Fujairah Ruler’s Court has sought the assistance of Pakistani medical experts at their hospitals and colleges. Ambassador to the UAE, Jamil Ahmed Khan told APP from Dubai on Tuesday that a special request had been received in this regard. The ambassador said the matter also came under discussion in his meeting with the UAE Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, in Dubai. He said it was agreed that the collaboration between Pakistan’s Dow Medical University and the UAE’s medical colleges will help strengthen ties in the field of medicine. He said a team of experts headed by the principal of the Dow Medical University, had been nominated to visit the Emirate of Fujairah and the secretariat of Higher Education of the UAE. The team would firm up various aspects of the Memorandum of Understanding to be soon signed between the two countries, he added. Ambassador Jamil expressed the government’s commitment to enhance the level of Pak-UAE bilateral cooperation in all areas including education.
