The city’s largest and oldest centre for arts and wellness, ActOne, recently conducted a flash mob ‘Dance for a Cause 5’ at the SUIT spring festival held at the PAF Museum.
It was one of the largest flash mobs ever conducted in Karachi, with about 2,000 participants from all ages. The dance sequences were choreographed by Talal Rehman and Duranda Davies.
“This was clearly the most exciting Dance for a Cause event that ActOne has conducted ever,” said Asma Ansari, a partner at ActOne. “It’s a rare sight to see so many youngsters dancing together and having fun.”
‘Dance for a Cause’ events are flash mobs conducted by ActOne to help raise funds for various causes including SIUT and the Rahnuma Schooling Project.
ActOne is at the forefront of all such initiatives in Karachi. It is the city’s oldest and most prestigious centre for arts and wellness.
Besides being a regular at conducting flash mobs and other BTL activities, ActOne instructors also conduct classes including hip hop, Bollywood dance workout, yoga and power yoga at their studio on Khayaban-e-Shahbaz.
Dance for a Cause 4 was conducted at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, where about 300 people danced to the song “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5.
