Five graves excavated, three bodies taken away

KASUR – Some unidentified thieves excavated five graves in Bullhey Shah Graveyard and took away three bodies. When some people went to the graveyard, they found the graves open and the dead bodies missing. According to eyewitnesses, the graves of women were also found excavated. Later, it was learnt that one grave was the mother of Amanat, a petrol pump owner, who was buried 15days ago.
The second grave was an aunt of policeman Munir Shah who was buried four days ago. The identity of the three other graves could not be ascertained. Its is suspected that a sorcerer or a gang involved in the sale of parts of human bodies could be behind the incident. They demanded a high level investigation into the incident. The local manager of the Auqaf Department said the graveyard was under their control but its safety and security was not their responsibility.
ASI BOOKED IN CONSTABLE’S MURDER CASE: The police have registered a case against ASI Jameel on the charge of killing a constable of village Dholan Hathar in the jurisdiction of Khuddian Police Station. Reportedly, Constable Muhammad Aslam was killed on Monday by the firing of some bandits. He was on his way when some robbers asked him to stop. As he did not stop, they fired at him, killing him instantly. Muhammad Umer, the son of the deceased, got a case registered aginst ASI Jameel, alleging that he had killed his father over a property issue. But, according to some sources, Constable Aslam had contracted three marriages, and ASI Jameel had developed relations with one of his wives.
MAN SHOT DEAD OVER ENMITY: A man was killed over an old enmity at village Patwan Kalan in the jurisdiction of Sadar police. Reportedly, Muhammad Shafiq had an old enmity with one Salamat. On the day of the incident, Salamat along with his six accomplices killed his son Safdar Ali.
