Peshawar Police foiled a major bid of drug smuggling to Punjab by arresting an accused here on Monday.
According to police sources, Bhan Marri Police Station received information that a car bearing No RIR 9440 was smuggling opium to Punjab after which the police stopped the car by cordoning off the area.
Police sources said that upon search police recovered at least 57 kilograms opium and arrested an accused on the spot. Police also seized the car and started investigation.
