President Asif Ali Zardari has appealed to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to allow the repatriation of Dr Chishti to Pakistan on humanitarian grounds. Spokesperson Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the president made this appeal in a personal letter addressed to the Indian Prime Minister. The letter was sent on Friday to Pakistan’s High Commissioner in India for onward delivery to the Indian Prime Minister, he said. Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the President had taken up this matter with the Indian Prime Minister during his meeting with Manmohan Singh in New Delhi last Sunday while on way to Ajmer Sharif. The President letter also said that this gesture would add momentum to the goodwill generated after resumption of the composite dialogue between the two countries.

  1. Stupid request. It's a pure civilian criminal case. Even the aggrieved party is a fellow Muslim. Why would the national political capital be spent on it?

  2. The President of Pakistan is requested to review my case of dispension of my services in P.I.A in 1981 by the Late Dictator Gen.Zia through MARTIAL LAW REGULATION NO.52 with the punishment to show my gesture and love for QUAID-E-AWAM ZAB to show my angerness on the sad hanging and used openly bad language agaisnt the decision of Gen,Zia.Till than I have been living my life very miserably and I did try to get justice, but all in vain.Should I expect from your Excellency to reveiw my pending case since 1981..As chariy begins at home,I thought perhaps Your Excellency may listen and issue orders for re-instatement in P.I.A with all the benefits without any further delay,as I am pysically, healhwise and finanancially so weak that I cannot linger on for further delay.I once again request you to kindly consider my case on HUMANITARIAN GROUNDS.I can be contacted on 03004021667
