A large number of students participated in a beach cleaning campaign organised by the Defence Authority SKBZ College at Clifton.
The students along with the teaching staff of the college participated in the cleaning of the beach with zeal and enthusiasm. The aim of the campaign was to create environmental awareness in society and nurture the ecological environment of the earth.
Speaking on the occasion, the college principal Brig (retd) Shahid Lone said that the basic aim of organising the beach cleaning was to keep the beach beautiful. Such campaigns augment the drive initiated by DHA to beautify the surroundings and to keep them clean.
The principal asked the citizens to join DHA in its efforts of making Karachi a beautiful and attractive city of the region.
After the completion of the campaign, the DHA plans to continue its efforts of nurturing earth’s ecological environment and other DHA educational institutions will follow the suit.
Lone added that such activities aimed at keeping the environment clean and hygienic are of immense importance for a healthy living. To achieve this target each and every individual needs to do his best in controlling pollution.” The elders should educate the younger generation about the hazards of pollution.”
