Former ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani has written a letter to the Blackberry company ‘Research in Motion’ in which he has asked it to provide him a record of his conversations to the judicial commission. Haqqani’s lawyer, Zahid Bukhari also confirmed during hearing that his client had emailed to the company telling them that he had no objection in providing the record of his Blackberry to the commission probing the memo case. Bukhari also told the commission that Haqqani had life threats in Pakistan so he could not get his statement recorded in front of commission, so his statement might be taken through a video link like Mansoor Ijaz did. He said Asma Jahangir would submit his written reply on 16 May.

    • You are mixing his last stay in PM house to his future livings in Karachi, Lahore or anywhere else where may not be safe.

  1. The news starts with “Mansoor Ijaz, a key respondent in the Memogate scandal, has questioned former ambassador to US Husain Haqqani’s claim of requesting Research in Motion (RIM) for his BlackBerry data.” When MI has questioned Hussain Haqqani then the justices are sure to go with him. He is their only witness, without him there is no case. That is why they have been begging and chasing him even overseas. In this case the prosecution, witness and judge are all on the same lines and need each other.
