A large number of activists of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Monday held rally to protest against surge in sectarian violence across the country.
The protestors showed grave concern against the target killings over sectarian issues in Karachi, Quetta, Gilgit and Skardu.
The rally was taken out from a mosque in Abbas town. The demonstrators also staged a sit-in on Abul Hassan Isphahani Road in Karachi.
The demonstrators chanted slogans against the recent killings and demanded to end curfew in Gilgit. They urged the provincial and federal governments and authorities concerned to stop target killings, and warned of another rally in the capital city if their demands were not met.
