The Children’s Hospital with the collaboration of a local NGO, Rehel organized a mini carnival for children suffering from terminal and chronic diseases. During the carnival free ice-creams, popcorns, candy floss and balloons were distributed among 1,200 children that participated in the event. The children who are suffering from terminal and chronic diseases such as rare blood disorders and cancer are too weak or sick to attend such carnivals without medical support. Hence, it was thought for the carnival should come to them in the hospital premises ensuring ready medical aid as and when needed. Many games and fun activities were also arranged for the children where they joined in and played to their hearts content. A large number of children with their families as well as doctors, nurses, and other staff of Children Hospital attended the carnival which added colors to the event. Visitors also enjoyed exotic food and drink, dancing and music, as well as sing-a-long-session.
