High security alert declared in major cities

High security alert has been declared in many cities including the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi after Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s threats to target government institutions. According to sources TTP has hurled threats to target government institutions and installations. There are reports of fifteen suicide bombers leaving Miranshah for various cities.
Sources claimed that government buildings in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and police could be targeted. Sources also said that the planning for the attacks had been made by TTP’s commanders Nadeem Abbas and Tariq Qadeer. Police authorities have further beefed up security in Rawalpindi and Islamabad after the TTP threats.
According to authorities TTP is issuing threats to build up pressure after the arrest of the planner of the attack on the joint session of parliament.
