Saudi Arabia to recruit Pakistani doctors this month: OEC

Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) Managing Director Saeed Ahmed Shaikh said the Health Ministry of Saudi Arabia would send a delegation to recruit Pakistani medical doctors and paramedics in the current month. Talking to APP on Tuesday, Saeed Ahmed Sheikh said that the delegation would visit Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to recruit medical experts for various categories and for all professional levels. Earlier the delegation during the month of January 2012 selected around 300 doctors from Pakistan through OEC and over 80 has already left Pakistan and cases of about around same number under process. Saeed Ahmed Shaikh further informed that there is also a great number of recruited doctors who are reported to be unwilling to join service due to various reasons. Moreover, to a response to a recent demand from Ministry of Defense, for Doctors, CV’s of over 215 doctors have been sent to Ministry of Defence and we anticipate having sizeable selection from them as well. With regards to the Korea, the Managing Director informed that over 260 Contacts have been received from Korean employers and around 150 workers have been dispatched since January 2012. The OEC is also processing applications for Engineers for Korean employers to be posted in Middle East and gulf countries and number of application have been received by it. MD, OEC also highlighted the need for creating awareness for general public to beware of illegal agents misguiding innocent people for securing employment of Korea. He said that the Korean recruitment under EPS system is purely transparent and people should not be misguided.
