A man was shot dead and two others sustained injuries in a firing incident near Qasba Morr of Orangi Town area here on Friday and Rangers apprehended over dozen suspected persons during search operation.
According to police sources, two armed motorbike riders opened fire at persons in the area in which a man was killed on the spot and two others injured. The attackers managed to flee from the scene after the incident. The injured were shifted to hospital.
Meanwhile, Rangers conducted targeted search operation in Baloch Para area and arrested over a dozen of suspected persons from various houses. The Rangers shifted the arrested persons to undisclosed place.
Heavy contingent of Rangers cordoned off the area before carrying out search operation and all entry and exit routes were blocked.
