The comings and goings of Nawaz and Zardari

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has finally changed “Go Zardari Go” with “Come Nawaz Come” to charge the masses against power outages, corruption and spiral inflation.
The resurrection came after the sixth consecutive anti-outage riots that led to death and vandalism in Punjab. To attain the optimum momentum, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has revived consultative talks with opposition parties within and outside the parliament.
The drive was not initiated two months back, at the time of Senate elections, when the environment would not have given it the impetus that it is getting now. Power crisis and inflation helped Nawaz’s cause, who seized the opportunity and threw the gauntlet.
This time, however, anti-government drive has changed the name from ‘Go Zardari Go’ to ‘Come Nawaz Come’ as catchy advertisement strategy to attract people.
“Recent public speeches at Jamia Naeemia and Sadiqabad by Nawaz Sharif are the prelude for the new anti-government drive titled Come Nawaz Come that will start on March 31,” PML-N senior leader said. The drive format entails gigantic protest demonstrations, massive rallies, seminars, press conferences, meetings and media campaigns. Long March is also part of drive and could be employed as last option.
“Its first phase will last on April 4 and it will take off from Lahore. Most probably CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif will address the rally to be conducted on Muslim Mosque at Lohari. However, so far MNA Hamza Shahbaz is confirmed to speak on the occasion accompanied by Khawaja Saad Rafiq,” a credible source revealed.
