5.6 magnitude quake jolts Balochistan

A moderate earthquake hit parts of Balochistan on Wednesday with no damage reported, the Met Office said. It said that the quake was recorded at 5.6 on the Richter Scale, sending people in Kalat, Sorab, Gadar, Lakoriyan and other areas of the province running out of their homes under fright and panic. Earthquake tremors were felt at about 8:15am. The epicentre of the earthquake was located at a focal depth of nine kilometres in southwest Quetta.
